Out with the old and in with the new. It’s a popular adage, albeit a little bit of a cliché. In some cases it’s true; in the field of medicine, for example. Thank goodness for penicillin. But in the realm of art, especially photography, the old ways should not be tossed aside, but at the very least appreciated, if not mastered by the artist. There is still magic to be discovered in the darkroom, beauty to be created under the safelight. Perhaps it is time to dust off the enlargers and fill the empty trays with developer. The Tri-Community Photography Association is proud to present the incomparable artist and photographer, Robert Cavalli lecturing on The Art of Film. For many years, Mr. Cavalli has been a master black and white printer and is eager to share his knowledge with the students of Tri-Community, both the new and the seasoned.
